Welcome to THALÉA LANE!

 

My handmade journey began back in the year 2000, when I was just 13. I remember watching my neighbour crochet at home as part of a small contract job. I was instantly fascinated, sitting beside her day after day, mesmerised by how she turned yarn into something beautiful.

Curious, I asked my mom about it, and she told me she used to crochet when she was younger, though she no longer remembered exactly how. Still she tried her best to show me the basics she could recall. I started practising on my own, slowly learning how to shape yarn into little charms for school bags and tiny coin pouches. My classmates loved them - some even wanted to buy them. And just like that, my first small business was born.

I kept crocheting and selling my handmade pieces until my second year of university, when I had to pause everything to focus on my studies. Years later, after completing my master's degree, I found myself unsure of what path to take. One day, I stumbled upon beautiful and creative crochet designs online - and something inside me lit up again. I felt inspired to pick up the hook once more but this time, I studied the craft more seriously and refined my skills.

 

In April 2024, I opened my very first small shop in a shopping centre. Since then, I've continued to grow, not only in crochet but also in my love for other handmade creations. I've started exploring natural, handcrafted beauty and wellness products - things made with care, intention, and respect for both people and nature.
